چکیده

Database systems are very important in any HEP2 experiment in the world. HEP community in LHC3 era is in transition from FORTRAN to C++ and from data streams to persistent objects. Together with that a new data management will be necessary, which would allow transition from “files and tapes” approach towards the access to data in form of objects by selection of their required physics contents. In order to conform to the object-oriented paradigm, LHCb has to heavily investigate in the design and development of object databases for both the on-line (data acquisition and real-time processing) and off-line (simulation, reconstruction and analysis) computing environments, e.g. the Event Store, Detector Description Database, Calibration and Alignment Database etc. The focus of this article is on the Gaudi[2][3] framework and its very important part the detector description database.

Identification and Characterization of LHCB1 Co-Suppressed Line in Arabidopsis

To explore the function of light-harvesting complex protein (LHCP) in Arabidopsis growth and development, the Leclere and Bartel seed collection was screened. In this collection randomly cloned cDNAs are expressed under the CaMV35S promoter. A pale green line has been identified and characterized in more details. Analysis of the inserted cDNA in the pale green line showed it encodes LHCB1 prote...

Cloning and Expression Analysis cf Two Photosynthetic Genes, PSI-H and LHCB1, Under Trehalose Feeding Conditions in Arabidipsis Seedlings

Trehalose (a-D-glucosyl-[1,1]-a-D-glucopyranoside) is involved in mechanisms that coordinate metabolism with plant growth adaptation and development. The main objective of the current work was to find out whether trehalose feeding affects the expression of two genes involved in photosynthesis: one gene coding for photosystem1 subunit H (PS1-H) and the other for the light harvesting complex B1 (...

Very rapid phosphorylation kinetics suggest a unique role for Lhcb2 during state transitions in Arabidopsis

Light-harvesting complex II (LHCII) contains three highly homologous chlorophyll-a/b-binding proteins (Lhcb1, Lhcb2 and Lhcb3), which can be assembled into both homo- and heterotrimers. Lhcb1 and Lhcb2 are reversibly phosphorylated by the action of STN7 kinase and PPH1/TAP38 phosphatase in the so-called state-transition process. We have developed antibodies that are specific for the phosphoryla...

Plastid regulation of Lhcb1 transcription in the chlorophyte alga Dunaliella tertiolecta.

We identify four novel DNA-binding complexes in the nuclear-encoded Lhcb1 promoter of the chlorophyte alga Dunaliella tertiolecta that are regulated by photosynthetic pathways in the plastid. The binding activities of three of the complexes were positively correlated with time-dependent changes in Lhcb1 transcript abundance, implicating their roles as transcriptional enhancers in a retrograde s...

Sustained but not transient phytochrome A signaling targets a region of an Lhcb1*2 promoter not necessary for phytochrome B action.

Current evidence is inconclusive regarding the point of signaling convergence downstream from different members of the phytochrome family. In transgenic Arabidopsis, the activity of a reporter enzyme under the control of the -453 to +67 fragment of an Lhcb1*2 promoter shows very low fluence responses (VLFRs) and high-irradiance responses (HIRs) mediated by phytochrome A and low-fluence response...
